Why Convert your Loft?

You need more space. Put your house on the market and start looking around for something larger is the obvious option. But then you’ll have the hassle and expense of estate agents, house viewings, surveyors, solicitors, form filling, packing and unpacking. Not a happy prospect!

How about building an extension? Good idea, but when you think the expense of the building work and red tape, and months of builders muck and hassle as they work around your living area, and the reduced garden space, is it really worth it?

And so we come to a loft conversion. OK, there will still be builders working above you, but the disruption will be far less. And the cost could be a quarter of the amount needed to move to a larger house.

The benefits of a loft conversion abound. Your attic space covers the whole of your property and is generous enough for a large bedroom and bathroom. Or maybe you want more storage and a playroom that your children will love, allowing you to keep their clutter away from your living area. Perhaps you need a quieter area to do your own work, away from the mayhem of the family; or a fully fitted office or study. A loft with specially designed windows to maximise light makes a wonderful studio. If your home is big enough, your loft could even house a self contained flat, with living area, kitchen and bathroom.

Whatever you go for, a well designed and top quality loft conversion will add value to your property: up to 15% is the estimate of the Federation of Master Builders.

Need more living space? Consider a loft conversion. Extend upwards, expand your home and increase the value of your property!
